This page outlines the specialized Post-Production Services offered by Omeltd, a naval architecture and marine engineering company based in Istanbul, Turkey. It specifically focuses on the critical engineering tests required after a vessel’s construction, which include conducting Inclining Experiments, Draft Surveys, and managing Sea Trials to ensure compliance, stability, and optimal performance before a ship is officially commissioned.
A specification document in which the ship’s main particulars, her functions, main equipment and systems are described. This specification provides a brief insight about the ship that will be built.
Sea trial procedures are prepared to be used for measurement of the ship’s total performance and specific equipment’s working performance. According to these procedures general performance of the ship is measured by making experiments to test the speed, maneuvering (turning, zig-zag, bow thruster) capability, noise and vibration characteristics, fuel consumption level, etc. Additionally different types of tests are carried out to find out the working performance of the ship equipment such as main engine, generator, electrical switchboard, communication and navigation equipment, anchor. A sea trial report that contains the results of these tests is prepared and submitted for approval of relevant bodies.
