What We Stand For
01 / RIGOUR
Every analysis, every drawing, every specification is reviewed by a senior engineer. We do not release work we are not prepared to stand behind with our name.
02 / HONESTY
If a design has a problem, we identify it and report it — regardless of the commercial implications. Our clients hire us to find problems before they become costly, not to confirm what they hope to hear.
03 / SPECIFICITY
We write technical specifications with numbers in them. We give powering estimates, not “good performance.” We report stresses in MPa, not “acceptable.” Specificity is respect for the client’s decision.
04 / OWNERSHIP
The naval architect who leads your project is personally accountable for its technical quality. There is no anonymous team and no diffusion of responsibility at OMELTD.
05 / CONTINUITY
Repeat clients account for more than 70% of our annual revenue. We build relationships that last because we treat every project — large or small — as if it is the only one we have.
06 / PROGRESS
Naval architecture evolves. New materials, new propulsion technologies, new class rules. Our engineers invest in continuous professional development — because our clients deserve engineers who know the current state of the art.
From Our Managing Director
In shipbuilding, from the builder's point of view, cost and cost estimation are as important as efficiency, ergonomics,
comfort, and respect for the environment. While the owner's demands and the ship's compliance with relevant national
and international rules are guaranteed by the design, the design process is also where almost 90% of the ship's cost is
determined.
In a shipbuilding project realized without an optimized ship structure and equipment, in the absence of a mature or
appropriate design, there is always the risk of high cost due to lots of re-work and production details that are not
friendly for the shipyard.
Paying the necessary attention to design process which is occupying a single digit percentage in the ship's cost analysis
while being the key factor to get the end product with desired functions and price, would be like a victory won on the
table In OMEL, it is our principle to keep our customers' satisfaction at the top level by high quality, timely and accurate
engineering and consultancy services in the pursuit of creating a ship that would bring best revenues and best resale
value against reasonable cost.
To achieve this goal, we continue to raise engineers equipped with useful, accurate knowledge, to use state-of-the-art
technological tools, and to make the necessary investments to keep our quality level high. In the future, we will be at
the service of humanity for building safe, economical, comfortable, aesthetic, environment-friendly, and efficient ships
in Bangladesh and around the World.
Thank you.
