This page outlines the specialized Post Production Services provided by Delta Marine, focusing on the engineering documentation and computational analyses required for a vessel’s operational readiness. It highlights key technical services including stability and longitudinal strength calculations, capacity planning, sounding and ullage tables, freeboard and tonnage calculations, and the preparation of essential operational booklets and manuals.
Capacity calculations for different tanks arrying cargo, ballast, fuel oil, lubrication oil, fresh water and other remaining tanks are carried out. After the capacities are determined, sounding and ullage tables are prepared in order to check the amount of loaded and unloaded good for cargo carrying ships.
For specific ships which are able to carry grains, Grain Loading Manual is prepared.
Gross and Net Tonnage calculations are carried out based on relevant national and international rules and regulations.
By using the light ship weight value and coordinates of center of gravity obtained by inclining experiment, intact stability, damaged stability and longitudinal strength calculations are carried out according to relevant national and international rules and regulations which the ship must fulfill. The results of these calculations are gathered in booklet called Loading Manual.
A drawing which includes the arrangement of ship’s tanks, their capacities and tables for coordinates of centers of gravity, cargo carriage scale (deadweight-DWT scale) and main technical particulars of the ship is prepared for customer and classification approval.
According to International LoadLine Convention the maximum draft value that limits the submersion of the ship is determined by Freeboard Calculation.
Based on the type, registered classification society, and classification notation of the ship, operational booklets and manuals are prepared and delivered. Some of these documents are cited below as examples.
